Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension Services
It is a co-curricular activity made optional by the university for the students of B. A. and B. Com. first year. Two courses, Women’s Study and Population Education, work under the department. The objective of the department was to make the students aware of the problems of women and population. At the same time to make them aware of possible remedies over the problems. The students who had enlisted for the courses had to submit a project to complete the course. 35 students took admission to the courses.
World Population Day
The World Population Day was observed on 11 July 2019 by English Department in collaboration with the Continuous and Lifelong Education Cell. Dr. Hemant Khapne, a famous physician in Warora, delivered a detailed talk on the concern and control of population of the world. 200 students of B. A. and B. Com. (especially enrolled for Lifelong and Continuous Education Programme) were participated and got benefited from it.
Students got the idea of the world’s and India’s population. They became aware of the possible danger of population growth in the country and the world. They also learnt about the population control means. They also got the idea of utilization of population for positive growth in society.
