Infrastructural Facilities

Utilization of the available financial resources for the Maintenance of different facilities by holding regular meetings of various committees constituted for this purpose. The same is done for using the grants received the college as per the requirements in the interest of students. The requirement of books is taken from the HODs of the concerned departments. The finalized list is duly approved by the principal. The library advisory committee meets periodically to review the needs of the library. The Proper account of visitors (students and staff ) on daily basis is maintained. Other issues such as schedule of issue/return of books etc are chalked out and resolved by the committee. Computer maintenance through AMC is done regularly by the college and no repairable systems are disposed of. Software and Hardware are periodically reviewed and upgraded as per the requirement. Physical Facilities:

College is set in backdrop of extensive green cover spread in 2.42 Acres.

College has UG and PG programmes. In main building of college, administrative block consists of principal’s cabin, office, computer laboratory, Staffroom, Classrooms, IQAC Office, NSS Office etc. 25 computers are in use for administrative and teaching staff.

College has 10 well-furnished classrooms, three with projectors and LAN facility. For optimum use of classrooms, classes are scheduled in two shifts. On Sundays, classrooms are used for carrying out classes of YCMOU and extra classes to complete syllabus, if needed. It is used for college / university examinations.

Five well-equipped and functional Laboratories (Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Computer and Home-Economics) are set for practical works of concerned subjects.

There is well-equipped, furnished Computer Laboratory with 28 Computers. All are connected with Wi-Fi / LAN.

There is separate and spacious building for library, in 1550 Sq. Ft. with two reading rooms. Library has rich collection of resource books, magazines, autobiographies, textbooks, CDs, DVDs, Maps, Online databases, old question-papers etc in multiple copies. Library is automated by LIBMAN software. NLIST is subscribed.

Filtered water is available for stakeholders through three water filter-coolers.

22 CCTVs are installed in campus, corridor, stadium and library. There are two professional security personnel for security.

Three Fire Extinguishers are placed in campus.

Rain Water Harvesting Unit is installed.

College has separate parking zones for vehicles.

College has well furnished canteen withhygienic preference.

College also provides railing and ramp facilities for differently abled students and staff, easily reachable washrooms, toilets and user-friendly commodes. Scribe and Book-bank scheme is provided for them.

College has separate Common room and washroom facility with first-aid box and sanitary napkin vending machine etc for girls.

Solar Panel unit of 10 KW is installed.

College believes in holistic development of students. It consistently encourages them to take part in extracurricular activities to spark their interests and cultivate leadership qualities and team-spirit in students. For this, every year college conducts cultural programs. Indoor Stadium or open-tent is used to arrange cultural or extracurricular programmes. College has its own sound system and other accessories. College organized university level Youth Festival (Instrument/ Vocal Music) in 2017-2018. During COVID19 period, state level elocution competition was organized through online mode.

Sports Facilities:

Indoor Stadium (3200 Sq. Ft. for Badminton, Chess and table tennis), etc. College organizes, encourages and trains students to participate in sports (Intra/inter- College / Inter- University and national events) and extracurricular activities.

Tracksuits and all sporting equipment are provided to students. Winners and runners-up participants are duly rewarded with trophies/ certificates.

Yoga day is celebrated every year. Stakeholders are trained in Yoga. During COVID19 Period, videos of useful Asanas were shot and sent to stakeholders on Whats-App groups.

College has well-equipped gymnasium for stakeholders. It has open-gym facilities like single-bar, double-bar, etc. College has well-maintained playground in 10,550 Sq.Ft. for Volleyball, Kabaddi, ball-badminton etc with floodlight. State/ national volleyball tournaments were organized.

IT Infrastructure:

The college has well established mechanism for the up-gradation and deployment of Information Technology infrastructure considering the need of the students and teaching staff along with administrative staff. Fiber Optic Internet Service of BSNL (200 MBPS) and Airtel Fiber Optic Internet Service (200 MBPS) with four Wi-Fi routers are available for students, staff and office work.

The college has formed an IT Infrastructure Committee and Website Committee to look after the up-gradation and maintenance of IT facilities. All the ICT facilities are updated periodically as per the requirements.

One computer technician is appointed by the college for the maintenance of IT infrastructure of the campus on AMC basis.

  • College also purchased modified version of LIB-MAN software.
  • College purchased College Management System software for administrative work.

College computer laboratory has well-equipped PCs. Every computer is connected with Airtel or BSNL’s High-speed Internet facility. Students and staff use these PCs for practical and while practices.

During the Pandemic period of covid-19, faculty regularly taught through online mode and they used good e-sources to convey the curriculum and give instructions to students.

College has organized four webinars in the session 2019-20 and in the session 2020-21 organized eight online conferences/ seminars. College has well-equipped ICT infrastructure (CMS etc) which helps in administrative department to maintain, preserve, modify, upload / download and issue (certificates etc) data regarding scholarship, accounts, admission process, leaving certificates, salary etc.

College has Computer Science subject for B.Sc faculty and IT subject for B.Com faculty, supported by good ICT technology.

Projectors are installed in three classrooms, while three more portable projectors are kept in spare to use them as per their need. The indoor stadium, classroom or tent on ground with audio facility and ICT Technology is used for organizing various programmes.

Informative CDs and DVDs are also available in Library.

To present seminar, students make PPTs and faculty encourages students. They also help the needy students in their preparation of PPTs.

Students also use ICT facility in making their project work.

Faculty also use ICT infrastucture in their Teaching processes. During COVID-19 period, the free / purchased online resources like ZOOM Cloud Meeting, Google Meet, Google Form, Google Classroom, Testmoz, Whats-App, PDFs, Words files, Youtube channels, mobile phones etc were explored for communicating the course material to the students and their evaluation. Faculty also help and encourage students in learning ICT which enable them become skilful in ICT in this modern era.
