Jageshwarrao Yadavrao Patil (1912-1994)

One of the three founding members of Look Shikshan Sanstha, Jageshwar Yadavrao Patil was born at Warora. A Tehsil Headquarters in the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra on June 18, 1912. Belonging to an affluent family of aristocratic legacy, Jageshwarrao worked as a member of the Municipal Council, Warora for about 25 years. One of the pioneers of the co-operative movement of the district, he was the Chairman of Warora Regional Co-operative Bank from 1960 until its merger with Brahapuri Central Co-operative Bank, and subsequent emergence of Chandrapur District Central Co-operative Bank in 1964. Even after the inception of Chandrapur District Central Co-operative Bank, he worked on the Board of Directors from 1964 to 1974. He was the Founder President of the Sanstha. He died on June 23, 1994.

Govindrao Shriharirao Deshpande (1913-1974)

One of the founders-trio, Govindrao Deshpande belongs to malguzaar family of warora and his father was conferred on the title of Rao Saheb. Born in 1913,Govindrao (alias Bhausaheb) was Nagar Sangh Chalak, Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh, Warora. A law graduate form Nagpur University, Bhausaheb physically impaired down the waist after an accidental fall form the horse back. He participated in the people’s movement against unlawful ban on Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh in 1948. He was the president of Lok Shikshan Sanstha from 1961 till his death in 1974.

Manoharrao Deorao Patil (1916-2006)

Born in 1916 at Warora in a prosperous family, Manoharrao alias Bhausaheb Patil got B.Sc. (Agriculture) from Nagpur University. Since his childhood, he was an active member of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, and was one of the most fortunate Swayamsevaks who were directly associated with Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, Founder Sarsanghchalak of RSS. An expert in planning, designing and executing a project, Bhau Patil was a great visionary. Moreover, he was known for his clarity of thought, ideological vividness, oratorical skill and rational views regarding economic, political and social issues. A rationalist to the core, he was never an orthodox Brahmin, but he had firm belief in Indian ethos and cultural nationalism. He was Vice-President of the Sanshta form 1951 to 1961, and worked as Secretary from 1961 to 1980. He died on February 12, 2006.
