About Department :
The Sociology department of Lokmanya Mahavidyalaya Warora came into existence in 1998. Every year this department churns out students who perform with flying colors despite admitting students with average and vernacular-medium background. The credit goes to the innovative methods and modern approach of student-centric teaching adopted by the department. The teachers are constantly devising interesting tools such as presentations, role play, screening socially relevant films, field trips, assignments etc.
Year Of Establish:
* Department has been started in June 1998.
*All Professors of department were working on Clock Hour Basis from 1998 to 2008.
*College has appointed Prof. S.N. Pilgulwar as Full Time Faculty for sociology since 1- July – 2008.
*College was affiliated to R.T.M.N.U. from 1998 to 2011.
*College is affiliated to Gondwana University, Gadchiroli, since 2011.

Students’ Profile reflects student’s socio-economic background, ambitions, academic performances, schooling background etc. Student’s photo identity, contact numbers, place of residence-temporary and permanent, relationship with the local guardian etc. are not simply kept for the sake of record, but closely examined and utilized to know a student’s true identity. Such information is heavily referred to during counseling which proves very helpful. It also helps the teacher to adjust his or her teaching on the basis of students’ level of understanding.
